Uzbek Kurash Specialists on the Path to the World Arena

In accordance with Presidential Decree No. 450 dated December 20, 2024, which outlines the task of “exporting national Kurash coaches and referees to foreign countries,” the International Kurash Institute, with the support of the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, launched a three-month intensive English language course for Uzbek Kurash coaches and referees starting from April of this year.

Nearly 20 specialists from various regions of Uzbekistan participated in the course. The curriculum focused on developing fluency in English specific to the field of Kurash, including conducting training sessions, mastering relevant terminology, and the ability to explain Kurash techniques in English.

Today, the final stage of the course was held at the “Sagbon” Kurash Center. Participants took both theoretical and practical examinations. The most talented and dedicated specialists were awarded international certificates. These certificates were presented by Kim Eurjoong, Head of the Academic Department of the International Kurash Institute and an international category referee; Alisher Eshonqulov, Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation; Abdusaid Abdurazzoqov, Executive Director of the Tashkent City Branch of the Federation; Mirsaid Abdullayev, course instructor; and Inom Shoimov, Head of Administration at the International Kurash Institute.

As part of the event, a masterclass on refereeing rules in Kurash was also conducted by Professor Kim Eurjoong for participating specialists.
