The IKI and the Romanian kurash federation expand cooperation

Today, the Rector of the International Kurash Institute, Khabibulla Tadjiev, received Mr. Naim Belgin, President of the Romanian Kurash Federation, and Ms. Claudia, Head of the Federation’s Special Projects Department.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to further develop the sport of Kurash in Romania and to enhance the qualifications of Kurash specialists.

During the discussions, both parties reviewed the details of the Kurash competitions and the International Seminar held in September this year within the framework of the “Kurultai” Festival in Constanța. The festival is significant for its role in promoting cultural exchange and the regular organization of Kurash competitions.

As part of next year’s cooperation agenda, the parties plan to improve the organization of Kurash tournaments and to hold a major international qualification seminar in Romania. The seminar will be designed not only for Romanian coaches and referees but also for specialists from various European countries.

This event will be jointly organized by the International Kurash Institute, the European Kurash Confederation, and the Romanian Kurash Federation.

Mr. Belgin expressed his confidence that involving IKI experts in such training programs would make a substantial contribution to the development of Kurash across the European continent.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the guests visited the Kurash Museum located within the headquarters of the International Kurash Association, where they had the opportunity to view remarkable exhibits showcasing the stages of development and progress of the sport of Kurash.
