
Special Kurash masterclass for Japanese national team representatives begins!
This one-week training camp is being held from August 8-14, organized by the International Kurash Institute in cooperation with the International Kurash Association and the Japan Kurash Federation.
The official opening ceremony for the masterclass took place today, August 9, at the Kurash Hall of the Department of Theory and Methodology of National Kurash at the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sport. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shakhrillo Makhmudov, Prorector of Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sport Shukurjon Gaziev, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association Reza Nassiri, Rector of the International Kurash Institute Khabibulla Tadjiev, and Prorector Komil Mukhammadiyev. Also in attendance were IKI professors Kim Eurjoong, Rizomat Soliev, Nuriddin Chorshamiev, Feruz Bobomurodov, Shukhrat Kurbanov, as well as representatives, experts, and athletes from the Japan Kurash Federation.
"The relationship between Uzbekistan and Japan is strong not only on the sports field but also in our cultural values. Sports like Kurash and Judo bring us even closer. In these two sports, not only physical strength but also ethics, respect, and discipline play a crucial role. Today's training sessions will give our Japanese fellows an opportunity to not only learn the subtleties of Kurash but also to feel the timeless values of both nations," said Shakhrillo Sharipovich in his speech.
These training sessions are aimed at enhancing the experience and skills of Japanese specialists and athletes and are being led by the most experienced coaches of the International Kurash Institute.
This one-week program includes intensive training on all technical rules within the Kurash Usuls group, as well as an increase in theoretical and practical knowledge on refereeing rules and evaluation criteria for the masters who have arrived from the Land of the Rising Sun.
