“Kurash Education: Goals, Outcomes, and Participants’ Impressions”

The final stage of the 4th group of the three-month online course organized by the International Kurash Institute has been successfully completed.

During the seven-day practical phase, participants enhanced their knowledge and skills in Kurash techniques, the official international refereeing rules, as well as the theory, history, and philosophy of Kurash.

Upon completing the course and returning to their respective countries, the specialists are now entrusted with the honorable and responsible mission of developing, promoting, and training new generations in the sport of Kurash. The International Kurash Institute wishes them great success and good fortune in their future endeavors.

Simba Mapanda, Zimbabwe:

“I came to this seminar with the aim of developing the sport of Kurash in my country and learned the official rules of Kurash. Everything that was taught to us was clear and well-explained. I am very happy to have gained knowledge from the experts of the International Kurash Institute. I am grateful for the valuable experience I have gained from them. I love Kurash because I really enjoy its techniques. At the same time, I improved my refereeing skills and am currently developing myself both as a coach and a referee. This is my fifth time participating in such a seminar.”

Rai Roshanai, Nepal:

"I am very pleased to have participated in this special seminar. You know, Kurash is a relatively new sport in Nepal. That is why I came here to gain deeper knowledge about Kurash, and after returning to my country, I intend to share this knowledge there. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the International Kurash Institute for organizing this seminar."

Esfandiar Dawlatpour, Afghanistan:

"Three months ago, we successfully completed the online Coaching and Refereeing Course. Following this, as the final stage of the program, we were invited by the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in a one-week offline intensive training course, and we attended it for that purpose. During our time there, we gained highly valuable knowledge and practical experience in coaching and refereeing. The in-depth skills we acquired through this program have provided a solid foundation for our future work in this field.

On behalf of all seven participants, we sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Uzbekistan for providing this excellent opportunity, for the high level of organization, and for the warm and friendly reception. We are confident that the knowledge and experience gained during this program will enable us, upon returning to Afghanistan, to serve our Kurash community effectively and contribute meaningfully to its development."

Devon Cook, South Africa:

"The Kurash coaching and refereeing course was an excellent experience for me and, to be honest, it far exceeded my expectations. The seminar was organized at a very high level and provided me with deep and comprehensive knowledge of the theory, history, philosophy, techniques, and refereeing principles of Kurash. All the instructors were highly experienced professionals — their explanations were clear, their expertise profound, and their teaching methods very engaging. The practical phase allowed me to apply all the theoretical knowledge in practice and helped me fully master the official rules.

This course has truly inspired me and strengthened my confidence. I believe it will significantly contribute to my professional growth as a Kurash coach and play an important role in developing the sport of Kurash in South Africa. I am now very excited to apply the knowledge I have gained and work towards the successful promotion of Kurash in my country."
