Harmony of theory and practice

The next session of the “Three-Month Online Course” organized by the International Kurash Institute focused on enhancing participants’ knowledge of anti-doping regulations, sports medicine, the finer points of refereeing, and improving technical skills related to kurash techniques.

The training sessions, held every Tuesday and Thursday via the Zoom platform, are conducted in an interactive format by the most experienced experts in the field. During the latest session, participants received lectures and practical demonstrations across several important directions of the program.

In particular, Dr. Anthony Malkov from the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine under the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan provided comprehensive information on one of the most pressing topics in the field — anti-doping regulations and prohibited substances in sports.

Feruz Uklonov, an expert of the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, briefed participants on international refereeing rules, including the criteria for applying the “Tanbeh” penalty and the “Chala” score.

Ajmal Ishaq Zai, an expert of the International Kurash Institute, together with Feruz Bobomurodov, an instructor of the IKI Educational Department, demonstrated the next group of technical rules of Bardor (lifting) group through practical examples.
