Daily Program: National Games, “Yuklama” Group, Philosophy of Kurash, and Refereeing Rules
Tashkent, October 26 – The ongoing final practical stage of the three-month online course, held at the Kurash Complex of Tashkent State Transport University, featured a diverse program today encompassing not only traditional techniques but also key areas such as pedagogy, philosophy, and refereeing.
The main session of the day was conducted by Professor Talat Saidovich Usmonkhojaev, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sport, and recipient of the “For a Healthy Generation” Order. A renowned author of numerous books on national games, Professor Usmonkhojaev delivered a lecture on the importance of incorporating traditional movement-based games into Kurash training. He emphasized that such games develop speed, agility, and neurodynamics in young kurashchis, enhancing their ability to think quickly and make decisions in non-standard situations. Under his guidance, future coaches participated in a practical session performing some of the most effective games, discovering innovative methods to integrate Kurash techniques through play.
Following the master class, the program continued with a session focused on studying and improving the techniques of the “Yuklama” group of Kurash methods, led by IKI experts Ajmal Ishaq Zai, Feruz Bobomurodov, and Shukhrat Kurbanov.
In the afternoon, the program featured a lecture titled “The Philosophy of Kurash” delivered by Feruz Bobomurodov, Ph.D., Associate Professor, and Institute Expert. The lecture explored the educational and ethical aspects of Kurash and their vital role in the training and development of kurashchis.
The day concluded with a specialized training session on the unified international refereeing rules, conducted with the participation of Reza Nassiri, Secretary General of the International Kurash Association, along with Institute Experts Ali Shaherkani, Kim Eurjoong, and Khikmat Kurtov. Through lectures, practical exercises, and video analyses, the participants strengthened their knowledge and skills in refereeing.
The comprehensive nature of these sessions reflects the course’s primary goal — to prepare well-rounded Kurash professionals equipped with technical expertise, pedagogical competence, and philosophical understanding, ready to contribute effectively to the international Kurash arena.
